Ways to use NeetShelf
The website, the Android app, the Helper and the local server, and where sources run with each.
Everything you do in NeetShelf (library, history, progress, settings, Premium) lives in your account. What changes between devices is where sources run: on NeetShelf's servers, or on your own device. Running them on your device is faster, works with more sites, and lets you add any repository.
| Way | Devices | Sources run | Repositories |
|---|---|---|---|
| NeetShelf app | Android 8+ | On your phone | Mihon (APK extensions) |
| NeetShelf Helper | Chrome, Edge, Firefox on computers; Firefox on Android | In your browser | Kei and Paperback |
| NeetShelf Local Server | Windows, macOS, Linux | On your computer | Mihon (APK extensions) |
| Just the website | Any browser, iPhone and iPad included | On NeetShelf's servers | Reviewed repositories only |
Which one should I use?
- Android phone or tablet: the NeetShelf app.
- Computer: the NeetShelf Helper in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. For Mihon repositories on your computer, add the NeetShelf Local Server app.
- iPhone or iPad: the website, added to your Home Screen. iOS allows neither the Helper nor the app, so sources run on NeetShelf's servers.
Using several devices
Sign in with the same Google account everywhere. A title you read in the Android app shows up in your library and history on your computer too. Each way keeps its own installed extensions: install the sources you want on each device.
Downloads for every device are on the Download page.
