NeetShelf Helper

Run sources in your own browser, with any repository.

The NeetShelf Helper is an optional browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox on computers, and Firefox or Kiwi on Android. With it, sources run in your own browser instead of on NeetShelf's servers:

  • pages load straight from the websites, from your connection, so sites behind Cloudflare work more often;
  • you can add any repository, not only reviewed ones.

How it keeps you safe

  • Extension code runs in an isolated frame that cannot see your NeetShelf account or cookies.
  • The helper itself runs no downloaded code; it only fetches pages for NeetShelf.
  • It never sends your browser's own cookies and refuses addresses on your home network.

Third-party repositories are still code written by others. Add only repositories you trust.

Install

Follow the steps on the NeetShelf Helper page in Settings, then reload NeetShelf. The page shows Connected when it works. iPhone and iPad cannot install browser extensions; there, sources run on NeetShelf's servers.
