Extension repositories
What a repository is, the formats NeetShelf reads, and how to add one.
An extension repository is a list of extensions published at a URL by a third party. NeetShelf reads the list, and you choose which extensions to install from it. NeetShelf does not provide, host or recommend repositories. Add only repositories you trust.
Formats
- Kei: a URL ending in
index.json. - Paperback 0.8 and 0.9: a URL ending in
versioning.json.
Repository URLs must use https.
Add a repository
- Open Settings → Extension repos (also in the account menu).
- Paste the URL and press Add.
- Its extensions appear under Browse → Extensions.
Where repositories run
Some repositories have been reviewed to run on NeetShelf's servers. Any other repository can only run in your own browser, which needs the NeetShelf Helper; without it, NeetShelf tells you so when you add the URL. Repositories added this way are marked Browser only.
Remove a repository
Press Remove next to it. Extensions you installed from it stay installed, but you will not see new extensions or updates from it.
Some repositories, extensions or websites may be unavailable on NeetShelf after a takedown request.
